Who We Are: About Klamath Bridges
Klamath Bridges is a private non-profit organization formed to "Help His Church Reach Our Community". The organization was formed
in early 2007 and in 2008 finalized the vision, mission,
strategies and core
values to be able to communicate to our community who we are.
Currently there are eight individuals serving as Board of Directors. The board in
comprised of pastors, business persons, and community/ministry leaders.
What We Believe
(Statement Of Faith taken from National Evangelical Association)
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only, infallible, authoritative Word of God.
We believe that there is one
God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy
Spirit.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ,
in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His
vicarious and
atoning death through His shed blood, on His bodily resurrection, in
His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in
power and glory.
We believe that for the salvation of lost
and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
We
believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling
the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
We believe in the resurrection
of both the saved and the lost, they that are saved unto the
resurrectiuon of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of
damnation.
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
A Covenant Of Service
We, representatives from the
Christian faith community in the Klamath Basin, formally covenant
together to establish and maintain Klamath Bridges.
We commit, in word and deed,
to stand together, united in our love for Jesus Christ, for His Body of
believers, and for those who have
not yet come to know Him.
We believe that God's Word affirms
the functional, visible unity of the Body of Christ without
compromising the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We believe that our purpose
is to facilitate strategic partnerships and to serve compassion based
ministries in the
Klamath Basin and our vision is to reap and keep our land through
strategic ministry partnerships.
We pledge our support through
our Spirit-led prayer, services of worship, educational endeavors,
special events, common financial commitment, sharing of
knowledge, facilities, and volunteers.
We affirm our core values of (HEART): Hope for hurting humanity; the Encouragement
of visible functional unity of the Body of Christ; Accountable relationships; Reconciliation of people to God and to each other; and the Transformation of the Klamath Basin.
We further believe the only hope for our churches,
community, and country, is a God-ordained, Christ-centered, Spirit-led awakening.
It is toward that end that we join together to demonstrate our
common mission to serve.
